Some of the comments
below are so
ridiculously
primitive. If you're
still busy with
classic
antisemitism, with
invoking Jesus, or
with just being
downright asinine,
then it makes sense
that you live in a
world where sexual
predators abound.
The horrible issue
at hand here is the
terrible dynamic
that arises from a
self contained
community. Jewish or
Amish or whatnot. If
the Catholics are
more prone to being
on the front page of
newspapers when it
comes to issues such
as sexual abuse then
they should be PROUD
of that. That only
indicates that they
have progressed on a
whole as a
community, more so
than those
communities which
people feel so
estranged from that
they do not even
know how to begin to
criticize. This is
not just a problem
within the Hasidic
sect, but also a
problem within the
ultra orthodox Jews
(there's a
difference), and i
believe, within any
secluded group.

No good deed goes
unpunished, I
suppose. But Rav
Rosenberg should be
commended for what
he is doing to
expose sin in that
community. He truly
is a mensch.

Kudos to the rabbi
for bringing this
odioius scourge in
the ultra-orthodox
community to light.
The people in that
community who
protect the vermin
that prey on those
children are just as
guilty as the people
commiting the act.

Its nice to see at
least someone in the
hasid community is
sane! It takes a
load of bravery for
him to do what he is
doing and he should
be supported in this
matter, there is no
crime worst then a
crime that destroys
the innocence of a
child, and the Cops
need to leave the
donuts and coffee
alone and help him
in this matter, now
had this been
anyother religion I
am certain the cops
would be playing
thier usual
Gangbuster's role
and bring the heat
down on everyone
involved but since
it's the Hasid
community once again
they (the cops) show
us just how high
above the law they
are! If you break
the law, religion
should never stand
in the way of you
paying for your
crime!

oh and for the
record I apoligize I
should've said the
Ultra Orthrodox
community not the
Hasidic community, I
didn't know there
was a difference,
but reading the
comment area I just
learned something
new!

This community cares
very little about
the actual people in
its community. They
don't like anyone
rocking the boat,
regardless of what
the issue may be.
Their only priority
is covering things
up so no one else
knows about it. The
police should take
the death threats
against Rabbi
Rosenberg very
seriously. In 2005
the Dept. of Health
found that a Rabbi
had been spreading
herpes to boys as he
was performing the
Bris with his mouth
and continued to do
so during the
investigation. One
of the infants died
and the other has
brain damage. These
people instead of
worrying about their
kids, helped Rabbi
Yitzchok Fischer,
escape any jail time
and fought to
continue doing it.

This community
disgusts me! My
partner and I moved
to Ditmas Park, a
melting pot in every
sense, and they are
the one group who
adds absolutely
nothing to the
pleasantries and
courtesies found
throughout the
streets of our
neighborhood. In
response to their
blatant dismissal of
me as a human, I
refuse to
acknowledge them in
close encounters.
Just last week, my
partner and I were
shopping in Shop
Rite on McDonald
Avenue; A Hasidic
husband and wife
team had the nerve
to ask my partner
and I for
assistance; I
politely said
nothing while
looking at them, but
my partner, being
the ever kind person
that he is, moved to
help. He got the
only tongue lashing
from me and then I
politely (you know
I'm lying) explained
to them why I didn't
wish to to aid them.

Let's not even go
into the fact that
they are on medicaid
and welfare despite
being wealthy.
Rabbi's are supposed
be supported by the
community so that
they can focus on
the study of the
torah and they live
quite well from all
this off the books
money. Living in
city owned projects
while simultaneously
owning homes in
Florida.

Oh my god! Just like
the catholic
priests! (This is
messed up and thank
god some rabbis are
willing to purge
their communities of
pedophiles and
rapists...They say
there's hundreds of
cases, and I bet
they've all been
committed by maybe
ten or twenty sick
individuals)
